Editorial Review
After following brothers Michael Schofield (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) through a tumultuous three seasons of breaking out of prisons and escaping the clutches of "The Company", they are back at it again.
Season four begins with Schofield planning to avenge Sara's (Sarah Wayne Callies) death, yet after tracing down the whereabouts of Gretchen (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) and Whistler (Chris Vance), Schofield is told that Sara's death was a fabrication. Whether he believes the conniving Gretchen is another matter. Meanwhile, after Panamanian prison Sona is burnt down, Bellick (Wade Williams) and Sucre (Amaury Nolasco) form an unlikely team while T-Bag (Robert Knepper) is left for dead in his bid for freedom.
As this instalment plays out, Schofield and Burrows are given an ultimatum which is likely to shape the entire season - take down The Company, by acquiring a data file containing covert information, or serve a lengthy jail term.
Up until this point the process borrowed from Lost of writing as they go has worked well for Prison Break, yet you get the impression there isn't too much meat left on the bone. This instalment features a number of deaths to key players who appear to have been killed for no other reason than there were no avenues left for these particular characters to pursue.
That said, if history is anything to go by, it is likely to get better before it gets worse.
Prison Break returns to the Seven Network on Thursday, October 9, at 10:30pm.

Sandra J Whitham: loved the show at the begining when at a reasonable time but at 10.30 time slot I will not be watching it. (08 October 2008)
